I am a single woman who travelled to Falcon Hills Hotel on my own after the travel agents assured me it was ok. I felt the hotel should have what we call a red light outside the main door. I was approached by the restaurant manager and asked if I would take him upstairs to my room, I replied that my husband was at home and this was out of the question.

I was then approached by the sand man and asked if he could take me out for a drink, once again I said NO. During the day was ok because I spent most of my time by the small pool to the back of the hotel where the waiter, Rashid, was very kind and without requesting would bring drinks over to the guests.

There was also the pool guy around the small pool who would place a towel on your sun lounger before you made your way down to sun bathe. On the 2nd week of my trip I was then approached by one of the restaurant's head waiters and a waiter named Zacharia, whom wanted to take me out after he had finished work. Once again I said NO, but I was still expected to change my mind later and go out with him. Please be aware all the single females out there who are planning to travel to Egypt on your own, you will be approached from the male population!!!!

Dear Guest Kindly note that I am the Hotel Managing Director, i did read your review with a great concern to such an incident as we take the comfort and safety of our guests very serious. I took a corrective action as we dismissed the man working on the sand stand yesterday and started awarnce training for the Hotel Staff to educate them more on guest hospitality and the line they should not cross by any mean. Thank you for writing a review and speaking up as you did help us more than you can realize and hope that you will give a chance to show you the improvement made with your comments.

Just returned from a week at Falcon Hills, which just wasn't long enough! We went with my parents for my 40th birthday. As we were just there for a week I can't comment on the repetitive nature of the food, but I did hear from other guests it's the same week after week.

The food was lovely, if you went hungry, I think I can only say it's your own fault!! There was plenty of choice, both hot and cold, at each meal. The only downside on the food was that breakfast was the same choice each day, but it's difficult to vary breakfast! All the staff are fantastic, and they all work so hard, for so little, but always with a smile and cheery hello whenever they see you.

Our housekeeper, Mohammed, was excellent. The creations daily were amazing, but especially the day we returned from Cairo on my actual birthday - to be greeted by a petal filled runway and a 3 tier 'towel cake'! I would advise booking the Cairo trip through the rep - we were with Thomson and although it was more expensive than other companies, the group were all British and all Thomson guests, so it was great to just have to listen to one language. We had a fantastic time at this hotel, too many more good points to mention!

I loved it here and will definitely go back and recommend highly to anyone who wants a reasonably priced, decent hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. I went to Falcon Hills for two weeks with my best friend and we had a great time. The room was spotless and we had fresh towels made into swans, elephants, cobras etc everyday as well as a friendly introduction off our housekeeper when we arrived.

There were two pools, a quiet one and a busy one with activities throughout the day, the two entertainment people were lively and friendly and made everyone smile with their cockney impressions.

The nightime entertainment was equally as fun including a Mr. Falcon Hills contest as well as an Egyptian theme night where they dress everyone up and Karaoke. The waiters were fun and friendly if a little flirty! And our favourite was Magdy who sat at the bar and did not move for two weeks Watch out for the pervert of a manager!

He is about 50, married with kids but with prey on any girl in her twenties with dark, curly hair! He is horrible to his staff and is power mad but most of all he is persistant, he even phoned the hotel room after we ignored him and came to our hotel room! The food was the only thing that let the hotel down. It was rice, some sort of potato and fish everyday for every meal. By the second week we gave up and visited Mc Donalds and KFC which are very cheap with massive meals!

If you're going to Naama Bay is if a man approaches you as you get out of your taxi and asks you to sign his guest books just say Imshe!

Go away! It's a con Over all loved it! Don't buy anything from the shop in the hotel the Bassam market down the road is cheaper! Very nice and clean place , very good stuff , friendly , specially Karim , Ibrahim , Zakaria , Hosum and many more. Food was good but not special. We didnt like the beach , because it wasn't sandy beach. We stayed at the Falcon Hills in October last year, and we were not impressed!!!!!

Our room was basic and a little grubby, the grounds the same, the pool was fine, but our view was a building site and the service was average at best. This was my first all inclusive holiday and we thought we got a good price, but the food was terrible, mash potatoes for breakfast?

I suppose we could have gone back after our meal and had a drink in the hotel but we were so disappointed with it that we tried to spend as little time there as possible. The free beach that you can go to is rubbish, so we had to pay to use other hotels beaches.

Our seemingly good value all inclusive holiday turned into a very expensive self catering holiday. In general everything about the holiday was just a little bit disappointing, we were not expecting the Ritz for the price we paid but it was not good value for money.

Me and my boyfriend have just come back from Falcon Hills, and it was a relief to leave. There is nothing wrong with the hotel, but the staff are a different matter. By the second week it was becoming unbearable to sit in the restaurant. I had to make sure my boyfriend didnt leave my side as the waiters were overly friendly and made our stay very uncomfortable. There were several young girls there too that had the same if not worse experience, and i noticed that we were all going out for dinner by the second week.

I would not recommend this hotel if your travelling alone or as a group of girls as all people I spoke to had a different story about the waiters and the manager and what they doing eg calling their room, following them to the evening shows.

The reception staff and the entertainment team are amazing though, cant do enough for you. Single Women... - Falcon Hills Hotel

I was actually born in cairo but have lived in the us my entire life. I was wondering if there are a lot of single women in sharm and how hard is it to make new friends over there. I plan on staying a few months and doing a lot of scuba diving and maybe some golfing. I also would like to know if there is reliable high speed internet there and if you can get it in an apartment.

Britain halted flights to Sharm el-Sheikh following the attack, which killed all people on board the plane that took off from the resort, long popular with British tourists. After multiple airport inspections and visits by aviation security experts, Britain announced in October that it was lifting the flight restrictions. British budget airline easyJet said in January it would restart flights to the resort town in June. On Sunday, flag carrier EgyptAir said it would start operating a weekly flight between London and Sharm el-Sheikh later this month.

On 1 December , three Russians and one Ukrainian were seriously injured within minutes of each other, and on 5 December a German woman was killed, when they were attacked while wading or snorkeling near the shoreline. The attacks were described as "unprecedented" by shark experts. In response to the attacks, beaches in the popular tourist resort were closed for over a week, dozens of sharks were caught and killed, and the local government issued new rules banning shark feeding and restricting swimming. A variety of theories were put forward to explain the attacks. This includes overfishing in the Red Sea or on the illegal or inadvertent feeding of sharks or smaller fish close to the shore, which produced scents that attracted more sharks. Another theory considers the dumping of sheep carcasses in the Red Sea by a livestock transport during the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha had attracted the sharks to the shore. The first attacks occurred on 1 December, when four people were attacked within minutes of each other in the Ra's Nasrani area.
